“We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.” This is the Anonymous credo. These are the words that have been spoken by all of those who count themselves amongst our ranks and immortalised by all of those who have and continue to contribute to our cause. This is the Anonymous credo but though many of us are Anon we are not Anonymous. We are the Anonymous Solidarity Network and we have our own credo. We will attest to the Anonymous creed, “We will not forgive. We will not forget” until every Anon is free! We are inspired to action by the prosecution of our friends and family. Our friends and family, Anons prosecuted for having taken actions we believe are legitimate acts of protest against an unjust and corrupt state. Actions that in many instances have benefited the people. Actions that often hurt no one. We contribute because we care. We are FreeAnons because we believe that the greatest contribution that we can make to the collective are those that contribute to the cause of our fallen brothers and sisters.
This past year will be remembered by many Anons, like the year before it and the year before that, for the many accomplishments, the glory and the epic win. As advocates of FreeAnons we wish to see the actions of all Anons commemorated and their causes preserved. We strive to achieve this through all of our efforts. A year ago this week Jeremy Hammond was arrested for his alleged involvement with Anonymous and though many have, we have not and will not forget his contributions nor will we forgive those prosecuting him. The circumstances surrounding Jeremy Hammond’s arrest are questionable at best and the circumstances now surrounding his trial are but salt on those wounds. The intent of those seeking the prosecution of our fellow Anons is clear, they wish to set a precedent and make examples out of our fallen brothers and sisters but they are paid to do so. This is an ideological battle they wish to fight and they will lose because, though you can arrest a few of us, you can not arrest an idea.
